What types of chews do you sell?

What's the difference between a yak chew, a collagen stick and a bully stick?
Yak chews are hard cheese-based chews — long-lasting and ideal for moderate to aggressive chewers. Collagen sticks are softer, protein-rich chews made from beef hide that support joint health and dental hygiene. Bully sticks are fully digestible, single-ingredient chews made from beef pizzle with a natural flavor dogs love. All three are safe, natural and vet-approved — the right choice depends on your dog's size, age and chewing style.
Are they safe for puppies?
Yes. Our chews are suitable for puppies that have their adult teeth (typically from 4 months). For younger or smaller dogs, we recommend the smaller sizes — our yak chews come in sizes from XS to Giant, and our 6-inch collagen sticks are specifically great for teething pups and moderate chewers.
Are they safe for dogs with sensitive stomachs?
Absolutely. All our chews are single-ingredient, free from additives, salt, sugar, dyes and preservatives — making them one of the safest options for dogs with sensitive stomachs. Collagen sticks and yak chews are both highly digestible and unlikely to cause any digestive issues.
How often can I give my dog a chew?
Our chews are vet-approved for daily chewing. Most dog parents give one chew per day as a mental stimulation activity and part of their dog's dental hygiene routine. As with any chew, always supervise your dog during chewing sessions.
Can my dog choke on a chew?
Our chews are non-splintering and fully digestible, which makes them significantly safer than rawhide, deer antlers or nylon bones. However, we always recommend supervising your dog while chewing and removing any small pieces that could become a choking hazard — especially for small breeds or puppies.
What do I do when the yak chew gets too small?
Don't throw it away! Place the small leftover piece in the microwave for 45–60 seconds and it will puff up into a light, crunchy snack your dog will go crazy for. It's one of our customers' favorite tricks — and your dog gets every last bit.
How long does a chew last?
It depends on your dog's size and chewing intensity. Our collagen sticks typically last several hours for moderate chewers — some customers report up to 5 days for a single 6-inch stick. Yak chews are even longer-lasting, especially for smaller dogs. One customer said it best: "Most chews are gone in minutes. These kept him busy for hours."

Do your chews contain any additives, preservatives or artificial colors?
Never. All our products are 100% free from chemical preservatives, binding agents, artificial colors, added salt, sugar, acid, plasticizers and phthalates. What you see on the label is everything that's in the chew — nothing more, nothing less.

When will my order ship?
99% of orders ship within 24 hours or one business day. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your package ships. If you haven't received a tracking number within 2 business days of placing your order, email us at info@safestdogchews.com and we'll sort it out right away.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, you can cancel with no penalty before your order ships. If the item has already been dispatched, use our easy return system to receive a full refund.
